That sounds odd. Did the box have a label with upc and serial number? Did you receive everything you were supposed to, like owners manual, lock, etc.? Was this an FFL you have used before?

Patsy, this is odd. As long as all the contents are there, you should be fine. Firearms change hands several times and it is the main reason I have an agreement with my local FFL to only open my packages when I am present. Employees may not be above board in every case if you catch my drift. Cheers and stay safe!
