This red dot will work great on a 22l. As far as the Savage without the model number it wold be hard for me to say without knowing the mounting options.

Yes, this will work fine on the A-22. You may want to use a riser tho, I definitely prefer raising a sights a little higher on rifles.

Hi Bryan, Yes it will work on the Savage A22. It's actually a really nice sight.

This is a very good option for the Savage A22. I wouldn't use it for much past 50yds on a 22 unless you are shooting at fairly large targets. You could always buy scope rings with a picatinny rail on top to mount atop a good scope to have the best of both worlds.
