These 2 handguns fire the same 9mm cartridges, so the 19x doesn't have any more power or kick. The barrels are the exact same size, and the slide on the 19x is only slightly longer, the weight of both of these guns is very close as well. The big difference is in the height/length of the grip, the 19x has about a ½" longer grip and can fit an additional 2 rounds in a flush fit magazine, the standard 19 will be easier to conceal, but the longer grip of the 19x will actually help control recoil. Do it really depends on what the purpose of the pistol is ( conceal carry, home deffense, etc...) Here is a website that let's you compare them side by side. https://www.handgunhero.com/compare/glock-g19x-vs-glock-g19-gen5
the19x is just slightly larger and in theory would be easier to shoot but in the real world there is not enough difference to be able t feel it so get the one that you like best or can get the best deal on
Dwain, the G19 for concealed carry all day long is easier to conceal. Consider the G19x a Compact G19 with the full sized G17 Grip which is longer. The G19 will print less in regards to the shorter Hand Grip. Cheers, print less and stay safe!
Depends it's intended use. For home defense or target practice I'd go 19x. It's size will actually make it easier to control because heavier means less recoil and muzzle rise. For concealed carry I'd go with the Glock 19, it's smaller and lighter so will be easier to carry. Honestly both are great and won't have an issue with either. Hope this helps.
This question has been asked many times on my Glock 19 Owners page. General concensus is as mentioned in above answers. For CCW I'd personally go with the G19 for easier concealment if going IWB/OWB.
