This weights 27oz or 1.688 pounds and is considered medium sized. So recoil won't be too bad but will be worse than say a 1911 or Beretta 92. Unfortunately size and recoil is the price you pay for a smaller easily concealed package. It's 9mm so recoil will be manageable. Hope this helps.
