I've never owned one of these, but when you recieve any firearm that you purchased from buds, they highly recommend you thoroughly inspect the item before accepting the transfer, if you find a defect, refuse the transfer and contact buds and they'll pay return shipping, and issue you a refund. You could also get buds lifetime warranty, then that would cover any future damage.
I've never owned one but my local shop has had quite a few of these and no issues. I own the Rossi Rio bravo Wich is essentially the exact same rifle just the lever action version instead of pump. Pretty sure you can get this with wood furniture too. They're very fun plinking rifles. I'd order one and if something's isn't right when you go to pick it up at the FFL just deny the transfer and buds will pay for it to be shipped back and refund you. After owning the Rossi Rio bravo I'd love to have one of these but I'd pick the wood furniture version if for no other reason for looks. Hope this helps.
Paul, no problems noted looking at recent you tube unboxing and review videos. As usual, just thoroughly inspect all firearms before filling out paperwork and if anything is amiss, refuse transfer and Buds will arrange for pickup and replacement or refund. Cheers and stay safe!
