Yes, you can make this or pretty much any AR-15 ambidextrous. You can add a ambi safety, ambi charging handle, and ambi magazine release. Only thing wouldn't be ambidextrous is the forward assist Wich isn't used very often and the bolt catch/release but you can even buy a Magpul bad lever Wich will extend the bolt release in front of the trigger so you can manipulate it using your trigger finger. Lastly this has a shell deflector on it already so shouldn't have to worry about catching brass in the face. Hope this helps.
