This will attach to any piccatiny or weaver rail. If you still have the factory handguard on the colt there no rail space available. You could always switch out the handguard to a quad rail and this light/laser would slap right on. Otherwise you'd need to find an accessory rail that mounts to your existing handguard or a barrel clamp style pic rail.
