One I'm seeing holds 9 plus one in the chamber for 10. My best guess is some websites went by how many the magazine tube held and some websites added the one in the chamber to get 10. Hope this helps.

Douglas, this rifle has a 9rd tube magazine. If you load one in the chamber and top off the magazine it holds 10rds total. Cheers and stay safe!
