Yes, the Taurus gx4 can handle +p ammunition but the manufacturer recommends limited use since it can wear parts quicker than standard velocity but unless you are shooting hundreds to thousands of rounds doubt you'll ever notice a difference vs standard velocity ammo. All manufacturers recommend limited use of +p ammunition. Hope this helps.
