No, this is 38 super and not the same as 38 special. Two completely different cartridges. Sorry but hope this helps.
I buy most of my 38 special at freedom munitions. They don't have much at the moment but can usually find 50 rounds for around $30. They make their own rounds so inventory updates daily, so they don't have much 38 special now but could tomorrow. I get most of my ammo from there.

No it is 38 SUPER ammo which is a rimless case (like 9mm) for use in 38 super pistols like my 1911 auto
Rich, no, this is 38 super, it is a completely different cartridge than .38 special.
