What exactly is the finish on the black slide Canik TP9SF Elite? From different sources I have read nitrided, cerakote over nitrided, and cerakote over phosphate finish.

Black models have a nitride finish. Straight from canik-NEW Barrel and slide have an ultra-durable Nitride finish on Black Models and Cerakote®-over-Nitride on the slide of Tungsten-Grey models. I have the tungsten sf elite and fantastic pistol, very accurate, great trigger. It quickly became one of my favorites. Hope this helps.

Robert, there are some different iterations and vendors sometimes list the incorrect description for the Black Model. So always trust the manufacturer UPC code for firearm specifics.
