Unfortunately yes, on this model you would have to remove the rear sight. Buds has another model in stock only difference is the optic plate is up further and the sights not as long making it so you won't have to remove the rear sight. The model number is W320C9BXR3PROLE just type the number into buds search and it'll pop up. It's the exact same pistol only difference is it's the pro model and best I can tell only difference is the optic plate makes it so you can keep your rear sight. Hope this helps.
