The frame is made of polymer. I'd definitely take the steel version over polymer. Not sure how much I trust a polymer frame but seems like alot of manufacturers are switching to polymer. Hope this helps.

Danny, the frame is not 100% polymer. It is a polymer shell surrounding a steel skeleton sub-frame that is bonded with a lightweight black polymer exterior.
