Is this plate needed on the Walther PPQ Match Q5 AND the Walther PDP with a Trijicon RMR? If yes, do I use the screws that come with the RMR or do I need shorter ones?

David, yes.  The plate is very thin. I have this on my m&p 2.0 core with the RMR type 2. I used the screws that came with the RMR. Cheers and stay safe!
