If you click on menu, then customer help, then useful tools, lastly state restrictions it'll give a list of states. If you click on new jersey it'll show the states restrictions. Hope this helps.

Basically, for a semi-auto rifle, you can have one 'evil' feature -- those being pistol grip, telescoping stock, threaded barrel, flash hider, bayonet lug, grenade launcher. So any AR or tactical rifle will have a pistol grip, that is the only evil feature you can have. With a pistol grip, you can have a muzzle break on a threaded barrel as long as it is pinned & welded, and your stock will be compliant if it is pinned. Bolt action rifles do not have the same restrictions, so threaded barrels, flash hiders, etc, are ok on a bolt action. Confusing? Yes, most LEO's don't even know the laws. And rim fire rifles with a tubular magazine are exempt from the 10 round limit.
