Recoil shouldn't be too bad. It's moderately heavy at 6.6 pounds, so the weight will help absorb recoil a good bit. So think it'll you'll be fine. Hope this helps.

At 6.6 pounds, the gun should prove little burden to tote around, but remember there's a tradeoff to this. Less heft equates to more recoil, per the laws of physics
