Yes, filing the front sight would make you raise the barrel up to get it in sight, so would make you shoot even higher. Hopefully someone didn't file their front sight.

John, this is correct Sir. Rear sigh filing is the only logical explanation for this owners situation. Good observation. Cheers and stay safe!
