Charles, yes but the patter is worse the longer the rifled barrel. the soft lead shot will not damage the barrel. No, this won't damage your rifle. Your barrel is made of steel and this is lead, so it won't hurt anything. These are more meant to be shot out of a pistol but it'll work fine in your Henry. Hope this helps.
