So I got my newly purchased tavor x95 sent to the TN Buds, based on my brother's recommendation to do so, but I'm an NC resident that lives under 2 hours from the store. Can I still go pick it up or will I have to get my gun sent again to an NC shop?

Bryan, you can for firearms other than handguns which require transfer to your State of residence. Cheers and stay safe!

I'd contact the store/FFL that has your firearm and see what they're willing to do. Cause I live in PA and know some FFL dealers don't like transferring firearms if your state doesn't match your ID.   So before driving almost two hours I'd find the number to the shop and see if they will let you just pick it up there. Because it's a long gun you shouldn't have any issues doing so but better safe than sorry.
