Kenneth, yes Sir. This shotgun has a 3 inch Chamber and can fire the shorter 2 3/4 inch shells no worries. Same concept as a .357 Mag revolver being able to fire the shorter .38 Special cartridge. Cheers and stay safe!

Yes, this has a 3 inch chamber so it will safely shoot any 2-3/4 inch or 3 inch shells. Any 3 inch chamber shotgun can also shoot 2-3/4 inch shells, even semi automatics but semi automatics may have trouble cycling some of the lower velocity 2-3/4 inch shells. Hope this helps.
