Yes it is legal in ILL. https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf
Robert, yes Sir, there are no current restrictions in IL on the Hi Point Pistols. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Robert, the way I read it, no Hi-Point pistols are legal in Ill. Prohibited: Cobra, Phoenix Arms, Heritage Arms, Walther rimfire pistols, GSG rimfire pistols, Hi-Point pistols and Jimenez Arms. https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf
Unfortunately no, hipoint pistols are not legal in Illinois because they use metal in the slide that can melt under 800 degrees Fahrenheit. In order for a pistol to be legal in Illinois it has to meet the melting point laws. So unfortunately no hipoint pistol is legal in Illinois. Sorry but hope this helps.
