Unfortunately no, this is not Maryland compliant. AR rifle must possess a heavy-barrel contour to be Maryland compliant. This rifle does not have a heavy-barrel contour. ( budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/maryland_restrictions.pdf ) I hope this helps!
Gary, yes should be MD complaint, it is equipped with a heavy-contour, cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel. >>> ruger.com/products/ar556/specSheets/8530.html ...
