Steve, most FFL's including Buds will charge anywhere between $25 to $40 Sir. Buds Customer Service can verify their rate at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri. or use the Blue Chat now button at the bottom right corner 9am to 9pm Mon - Sat and 9am to 7pm Sunday.

My FFL charges $20. I have seen fees as high as $90 before. I would check with the FFL that you plan to use prior to ordering. Stay safe and happy plinking!!

We're just customers as yourself not buds employees but most charge around 20-30 bucks. You can contact buds customer service at 859-368-0371 Monday thru Friday 9am to 9pm for a definite answer though. Hope this helps.

Steve, Bud's does not initiate the background check, (unless you are picking up at store) your FFL will do that. The cost of the NICS check varies by state. Here in NJ, it is $15. On top of that, there is the transfer fee you pay to your FFL for doing the paperwork. This can range from $20-100, so check prices first. Have a great day!
