This has a 3 inch chamber so it will safely handle both 2-3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. Hope this helps.

Greg, since this shotgun has a 3 inch chamber it will fire either 3 inch or 2 3/4 inch shells no issue. Same concept as a .357 magnum being able to fire the shorter .38 Special round. Cheers and stay safe!
