1 in 7.5 twist rate would allow you to shoot very heavy bullets for long-range. You will do good with 90 - 100+ gr bullet. It might not stabilize lighter varmint bullet properly, but you won't be using that for long range. I hope this helps!

It depends on the firearm. I'd buy a few boxes in all different grains and brands and see Wich one it shoots best. Typically for long range though the heavier the grain the further it'll travel accurately. Lighter bullets tend to get off course due to wind. So I'd go with the heaviest grain that it'll shoot accurately. Hope this helps.
