Rick, no Sir it does not have the metal trigger guard. Just the 590A1. Also the length of pull is reduced to 13.87 inches over the standard models for quicker handling. Cheers and stay safe!

No it has a polymer trigger guard, not metal. Sorry but hope this helps.

Rick, from what I am reading, the 590 Retrograde does not have the metal trigger guard. The 590A1 Retrograde does have it. Have a great day!
