I know that NY has a mag limit of 10 rounds and this shotgun has 2 mags of 7 rounds each. Does the fact that you do not have to manually switch between the 2 mags put this shotgun over the mag limit ?

Nicholas, As for magazine capacity, the New York limit is 7 rounds. ... Therefore the DP-12 with it's two separate seven-shot magazines, is compliant. Cheers and stay safe!

Nicholas, the NY safe act does not apply to pump action shotguns. The dp12 is good to go because it has two magazines with a capacity of 7 rds each. If it was a semi-auto, it would be banned for the reason you questioned, not having to manually switch from one mag to the other. Have a great day!
