Jason, i would look into something in 243, 308 or best option would be 6.5 creedmoor. The 6.5 creedmoor is very popular right now for hunting because it has enough power to take down deer even at distance and it does so with minimum recoil. A heavier rifle will kick less but then you're stuck carrying around a heavy rifle. I'd recommend something like item number 015813280013 just type the item number into buds search and it'll pop up.
