I recently bought a Ruger SR1911 and am concerned about the noticeable play in the trigger as in a can grasp the trigger and wiggle it from side to side. This doesn't seem proper. I actually called Ruger customer support. The woman on the phone assured me this was normal, but I'm curious if any of you have similar experience or thoughts on the trigger?

Christopher, this is normal. Not only is it normal for Ruger 1911s, its normal for most 1911s. Its just the way the 1911 trigger was designed. Hope this helps.
