Can anybody tell me or give me suggestions for a different mount system like a picatinny rail that would work for mounting a magnified pistol scope to my Glock 40 Gen 4 and yes I know it has the factory MOS system but obviously it's not big enough or long enough to mount an actual scope to it

Shaun, I know there are dovetail based picatinny mounts for non MOS models that replace the rear sight. - https://www.theshootersbox.com/Weaver-Picatinny-Optic-and-Red-Dot-Mount-For-Glock-Pistols-_p_25536.html  ---  I would contact to see if they have a picatinny optics plate itself.
