John, yes sir, this revolver is +P rated, but do not use +P+. Have a great day!
Yes it is rated for +p but I can tell you that it has a stout recoil with +p I changed to a set of Hogue grips and it became 100% better with heavy loads
John, Taurus rates all their current line of firearms as +P Sir. +P essentially has more powder and burns completely in 4 inch barrels. This is where you see the benefit of the stated extra velocity. Not so in a snubbie unless optimized for short barrels. You will get higher recoil, muzzle blast from unburnt powder making night vision difficult and follow up shots difficult. +P has it's uses, with the appropriate barrel length but, it is a point of diminishing returns in a short barreled revolver.
