Justin, in the 2022 EEA catalog, it states -- "The Bounty Hunter in .22LR/22WMR are alloy frames and cannot be sold in Il, SC, WI, or other states and cities with frame melt laws." So .22LR /22WMR have alloy frames, while 45LC, 45MAG, and 357MAG would have steel frames. Have a great day!

Justin, I own this exact pistol in 357 Magnum, nickel plated and can guarantee you the frames not made out of steel. I just took a magnet to it to check and it does not stick. It looks to be made out of alloy. It is a good revolver but a warning if you do buy one add loctite to all the screws and tighten them. When I first got the pistol was dry firing it and one of the screws fell out. So checked and almost every single screw was loose. Other than that its a good revolver for the price. Hope this helps.
