Daniel, if it's new it may just need broke in. Most pistols will have a couple failures to feed until you put around 500 rounds threw them. Another thing I'd try is different ammo. Some firearms just don't like certain brands, so I'd buy several boxes in different grains and see Wich one works best. If you find one it likes stock up. Hope this helps.
Seems like all micro kimbers have the same problem!
First, change your ammo. If it's dirty that can along with the next issue could be the problem. 2nd don't over oil the gun. The oil mixes with the dirty unburned powder and can gum up the works. Polish the feed ramp. I do it to all my guns whether it needs it or not. It will guarantee to stop feed problems before it starts. Oh, and if your running hollow points, make sure you run the ones with the slits down the side. Really short, concealed carry guns won't spin the bullet fast enough or get it enough speed to open the hollow point once it makes contact, the slotted sides help it to open. And don't use them in long barrel guns, cause they can open early before they hit the target.
Daniel, I would do a field strip, thorough clean and lube and see if it works better. If so, the break in may be near (usually 150 to 300rds. If there is no improvement, contact Kimber for advice/resolution. Everybody lets a lemon slip by every now and then. Cheers and stay safe!
My micro is fine. Shoots anything. However, there are some good points in these answers. Too much oil and it will dirty the gun quickly. Just a little lube goes a long way. My Kimbers don't like being dirty. These little guns can be hard to grip properly. I use an extended mag. If not gripped properly, you can cause a jam. Maybe after 20 rounds let someone else who is experienced shoot the next 25 or 30 and see if it jams. I have run 200 at a time through mine without issue. It might just be too small for your hand. People often buy small for carry but fitting your hand is important. I always carry full size unless i dress up and then maybe the small kimber.
