Bryon, the barrel issues with the Taurus TX22 are a thing of the past, unless you are buying a used one. Taurus found someone different to make their barrels. Hope this helps.

The current barrels are fine. With my experience these like to jam with fte issues. Very picky on what ammo it likes to eat. Good luck.
