The night sights are in my opinion Staniel. They are easier to acquire target in the day time due to the out line and are no question easier to shoot in low/no light conditions.

I change all sights to night sights personally. You never know when they'll come in handy. You can react much quicker.

For a defense gun night sights are better but for target guns I prefer fiber front sights

Any pistol I use at the night shoots is equipped with standard sights of some sort and a light on the rail. That way you can actually identify your target and not shoot something you are unsure of and the light, back lights the sights so you can make good hits. The only real use night sights have is that they glow and make it easier to find the gun in the dark. Go with the standard sights.

Sort of controversial question.. Its like asking which one of your kids do you like the most. I have all kind of sights on my various handguns, including illuminated fiber optic, "standard" night sights, plain old white sights, "high" visibility white sights, plain fiber optic sights and so forth. I even have a semi auto and revolver that I painted with glowing nail polish. They all have their place in depending on lighting conditions. My experience with standard night sights are they are harder to see in daylight and certain high intensity lighting conditions. If I were to recommend a night sight, I would look at the ones that have the colored ring around the tritium capsule. The ring is visible in daylight and the tritium is visible in dark conditions. These type of sights (which I believe Bud's sells) are a little more expensive than standard night sights, but give you the best of both worlds.
