Polymer will be preferable but in an AK platform, Lacquer won't be an issue unless you are doing rapid sustained fire where the chamber gets severely heated. It will only affect "Tight Tolerance" higher end platforms. For the record, I have fired thousands rounds of both in my several AK's with nary an issue.

I would like to add that I had an ar mag loaded with laquer coated bullets for a year or two and when I got around to shooting it I pulled the charging handle back and the round wouldn't chamber. It had stuck to the other rounds and stayed parallel to the bolt. I took the mag out and slapped the poop out of it to break them loose and have only used brass since.

Its kind of a toss up between lacquer and polymer. Modern lacquers contain polymer resins so it really doesn't matter. Low cost lacquers may contain organic material such as nitrocellulose which can degrade over long term storage. If you are not intending to keep the ammo for several years, either type of coating is O.K.
