Kirk, this does not have a magazine disconnect. So you can still fire this with the Magazine removed. Hope this helps.

Kirk, no Sir, this model will handily fire a round with the magazine removed. It is a striker fired pistol with a Standard Trigger Type and Manual Safety Selector Switch. Cheers and stay safe!
