Robert, for self defense and target 9mm ammunition, the plan should be to get a box of a few well known brands, test for reliability and accuracy and record the results. Then stock up on the brand/brands you feel meet all of your requirements. This is the preferred method for your firearm as the results can be different in another firearm of the same model. Robert, giving a best ammo for any gun can be difficult Because I could have the same exact pistol and it could function flawlessly with Winchester and end up jamming every other round in yours. I always recommend to grab a few boxes in different brands and grains to see what functions best. Robert, there is no 'best' ammo. Most well-known ammo will work, but some guns are finicky even with the best ammo. Just try a box to make sure it runs well before stocking up.
