David, sorry but a 1911 magazine is not compatible with this. This takes beretta 92 style magazines and they can be found relatively inexpensive. Plus it'll give you a reason to buy a Beretta 92, if you like 1911s you will like a Beretta 92. Hope this helps.

David, The CX4 is adaptable to accept any full-size Beretta PX4, 90-series and 8000 series magazines (using optional adapters), so unfortunately your 1911 mags won't work.
