Geoffrey, this has a m4 style barrel Wich normally uses carbine length gas system but when looking at pictures it appears to be mid length. Can't find a definite answer anywhere. You can contact Troy industries at 866-788-6412 for a definite answer. Yes, the rail uses mlok attachment system. Hope this helps.
