Clint, yes without the magazine it's perfectly legal in Colorado. Buds will remove the magazine but won't replace it. During checkout buds will have an option to remove the magazine. Then you will have to purchase a state compliant 15 round magazine or less separately to use the firearm. Hope this helps.
