I bought another brand of shotgun like this one and is not reliable because it's still not broken in as they say. Does this gun need to be broken in ?

Robert, the Escort Models have been good at out of the box reliability and it is recommended that Full Power Loads be used initially and then cleaned and lubed. Cheers and stay safe!

Robert, for the first 150-200 rounds I'd stick with standard or high velocity rounds. After that it should function flawlessly with any velocity rounds. Hope this helps.
