Michael, no Sir, the Alloy Frame does not pass Melting Point Laws in IL. Details under Illinois State Restrictions here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf
Michael, Prohibited: Any handgun having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver that has a die casting of zinc alloy or any other non-homogenous metal, which will melt or deform at a temperature of 800 degrees F or less. Unfortunately the Cobra falls into this category. https://www.budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/illinois_restrictions.pdf
Michael, unfortunately this does not meet Illinois's melting point law. So it's not legal in Illinois. Sorry but hope this helps.
