sebastian, we're just customers as yourself not buds employees. In order to know the year you would have to get the serial number. You could try contacting buds customer service at 859-368-0371 Monday thru Friday 9am to 9pm or use the blue chat button at the bottom right corner of your screen. They should be able to assist you. Sorry but hope this helps.

Sebastian, unfortunately, the Serial Number would be needed to ascertain the build date from Winchester. Buds will not know this information. They can get it off the box but, I have yet to se a representative get this info from their Inventory Dept. One also cannot tell by the UPC code since this does not change year to year.
