Sherman, absolutely. Any .357 Magnum firearm can fire the shorter and less powerful .38 Special. Just remember that firing the shorter 38 case will create a carbon ring at the end of the cylinder over time making using the longer .357 Magnum sticky to chamber / eject until the cylinder is cleaned / reamed.
