If the difference you're asking is about is just the +P, it is simply missing in some of the automatically generated descriptions. 38 Special +P is fine for either 692 model and more generally, any firearm chambered for 357 Magnum with the exception of some uncommon semi-auto 1911 models.

Carl, both are chambered for 357 Magnum Wich has a higher chamber pressure than 38+p. So either will handle 38+p ammunition just fine. Hope this helps.
