yes it is fully usable before any optics in-fact most handguns never have optics added. Handguns are (mostly) short range weapons and can be effective without any optics. In normal shooting I shoot handguns much better without optics. If this answers your question please select "best answer"

Yes this particular model is usable and has the regular glock sights on it as well. So as far as optics yes it has sight, but does not have a scope. As far as shooting yes it will shoot, fire and function as it should right out of the box, so yes It is fully usable straight from the factory. Hope this helps

Stan, this is a fully functional pistol "rght out of the box". It just has the extra MOS feature so you can add an optic like Reflex Sight so you only have one aim sight "the dot" which is much faster than lining up front and rear sights.
