Keith, if weight/size isn't an issue for you then yes this would make a great concealed carry pistol. I own a rock island armory 1911 in 9mm and it's been nothing but great, very accurate, couple thousand rounds threw it without a malfunction of any kind. It's hard to beat a good 1911.
