Ken, yes Sir. It is considered a Firearm by the ATF and not Shotgun. Being a Pump, it also does not have the Semi-Auto Firearm restrictions either in CA. Cheers and stay safe!

Ken, NO, the Shockwave is not legal in CA. Under CA laws, It is classified as a SBS (firearm that shoots shotgun shells and has a less than 18" barrel length). It is one of two states where the Shockwave is illegal.
