Hi Jennifer, These are the sights but they are slanted a little in the rear. Look closely. This is so you can rack the gun one handed against your belt or holster inn battle.

They are what's pictured HK's patented charging supports, found on full size VP pistols, are also present on the VP SK. The charging supports are simple components that are mounted on each side of the rear of the slide and provide better gripping leverage for racking the slide
